Our New Full-length CD! - Liner Notes
Theresa Rochelle-Ross, Celtic folk harp, penny whistles, recorder, bodhran, harmonium
Rachel Ann Amov, violin, viola, cello, keyboard
Our many thanks go to Jim Soldi, for unbelievable patience and goodness in the midst of the tedious job of hunting down and handling an abundance of beeps, squawks, thumps, quacks and other strange scary sounds that tried to hide amongst our musical notes. Thank you Jim, for knowing when to say yes, and when to say no to our sometimes rather naïve creative process, for all the silly jokes told in timely fashion, and for very sweetly adding happy bass on Aran Boat Song and The Wishing Well. You showed us the magic again, and we are oh so grateful..
We also want to thank the very cheery Patrick Espinoza, for playing guitar on Drowsy Maggie and Morrison’s Jig, as well as keyboard on Greensleeves. You get brighter every day..
Most of all, we offer our hearts in deepest appreciation to our families for their unfailing support and love, for enduring the many long hours we had to spend away while working on this project yet always letting us know they believed in us, for coming to our performances and cheering enthusiastically, for letting us use the van when we needed it, for listening with patience to all of our ideas, for delighting us with the tiny, tiny faces and sweet hugs….and then, especially to dear sweet Fred, for kindly bringing us lovely food and tea, for making smooth the bumpiest of roads, and for a thousand and one different wonderful things! We’re so blessed to have you all.
Dedicated to Paramahansa Yogananda with endless love.

We wish to thank the following artists for sharing their musical knowledge and expertise, from which we have learned so much, and for enlightening us with stories and histories of some of these melodies. Their hard work, superb artistry, and generous spirit are a boon to all…
Robin Williamson, Master Bard and Storyteller: For various selections from his tune collections, “English, Welsh, Scottish & Irish Fiddle Tunes” and “The Penny Whistle Book”, Oak Publications.
Alistair Anderson for kind permission to use his composition, “Hedgehope Hill” pub. PRS
Christine Martin: For use of arrangements on “Welcome to Skye” and “Circle of the Ocean”
pub. Taigh na Teud.
Some of the pieces recorded here were gleaned through years of knocking about in Irish pubs and folk clubs where the exchange of music is an exciting and joyous past time. For those years of musical feasting, and to the many who have shared their favorites with us, we are also truly grateful.
