Beautiful Celtic and Gypsy melodies performed on Irish folk-harp, violin, viola, recorder, penny whistle, cello, keyboard, guitar, bass, bodhran, doumbek and voice.
Rachel - violin; Theresa - harp
Theresa and Rachel have performed together since 1991 as members of the Celtic Fusion group, The Strange Woods, filling the houses for a wide array of music venues with their wonderful sound.
Now as the duo, Glancing Love, they bring to the fore a more vivid interpretation of their musical passion and experience.
Glancing Love's music creates an ambience of serenity and exhilaration. If you enjoy music rich with luscious soundscapes evoking beautiful imagery and inspiring feelings of a sweeter, quieter time you will love the sounds of Glancing Love.
"The moonlight and the starlight, sheer light on the waves.
The streetlight, a bold light that fell on your face.
We danced in cold winter 'neath a lamp lit by fire.
By the dark sea watching breathlessly in her wandering desire."

Music for a Vagabond Heart
What is "Music for a Vagabond Heart"? Is it Celtic, is it Gypsy, is it New Age? It is all of that and more, a phrase born of inspiration, "Music for a Vagabond Heart" is meant to evoke the magical, mystical soundscape that is Glancing Love's music.
02 Dark Eyes D Minor Klezmer Medley by Glancing Love
Dark Eyes is an old and well-known Russian Gypsy song. Rather than choose one translation over another, (or sing in Russian) Glancing Love chose to give this classic their (traditional) wordless vocal treatment. Theresa's sweet, yearning vocal, accompanied by harp and violin, conveys beautifully the haunting mystical nature of the melody. The following d minor medley is a combination of traditional tunes arranged by Glancing Love.

Quotations
"Glancing Love evokes misty, green glens bathed in dappled sunlight and long stretches of hazy, golden beach. The meditative strains of this music are appropriate to many occasions, from romantic weddings to quiet afternoons curled up with a good book. I even played it for students in my fourth grade classroom. They all worked quietly, in order to hear it. "That's so pretty!" one of my girls commented. So, whether you are sharing an evening by the fire with your significant other, or just want to lean back and think quiet thoughts for awhile, Glancing Love will provide the perfect accompaniment."
